Springtime in February

This edition is dedicated to Mom, recovering from a stroke in a hospital in Fargo ND. I hope she can get back to having fun soon... She's the Karaoke Queen, you know.

The morning of February 9... about 14" of white stuff:

Here in the hills above Questa, the deep snow is melting fast is a mini heatwave. 5-15º at night, and up in the 40's in the daytime. This is making a mess of my construction site...

but!
The deck is done!
Still needs to be sealed, on the next sunny day.
Oh, and I've taken in a stray, still nameless:

She looks to be 7 or 8 months old, a blue heeler mix. There are cut marks around her neck like she escaped an unpleasant situation, tied with thin rope or wire, and she was very skinny 5 days ago, when I picked her up at my neighbors who had found her. But now she's very perky, already housebroken,

getting along with the cat - and she's gaining weight.
