Happy 2008! It's morning, January 1st.
New Years Eve day was an incredible coup, thanks to the generous spirits of these guys, plus Pozzi. Pozzi loaned me her big truck for the day, and I made two trips, the first of which is documented below. The second, assisted by Ed and Christopher again, brought the new range and refrigerator to the property.
This is Eric (son of Mark), Mark (my builder - his big contribution today was a tub from the guts of a broken washing machine, to be used for thawing frozen earth), Ed (he gave his day and truck to moving my big stuff), and Christopher (also gave his day and truck to moving my big stuff). Huge Thanks to all and a hearty New Year!
The trucks have arrived, filled with yurt and outhouse!
Yay!
The yurt is now stowed under the green tarp...
The outhouse is now in the general area where it will be installed as a chemical toilet.

Today I head back up to settle the deeds of yesterday and prepare for occupation...
The chimney's up,
and the woodstove got its first burn.
My stuff is piling up...
...and the range and refrigerator have arrived.
The refrigerator will be in the new addition, in the distant future. For now, I think somewhere along the back wall, out of the sunshine, will be best.
